Three ethical funds in which TAM Asset Management has invested, received first, second and third place in the Best Ethical Investment Provider category at the Moneyfacts Investment Life & Pensions Awards.
Finalists for the category included; F&C Investments, Rathbone Unit Trust Management and Standard Life Investments. It was Ecclesiastical Investment Management however, who were named Best Ethical Investment provider for the 6th consecutive year. Since launching the Amity UK Fund in 1988, EIM has taken a strong leadership role in ethical investments, through their ongoing research, engagement practices and strong fund performance.
Christian Holland, Senior Investment Manager at TAM said, “It’s great to see Ecclesiastical getting the recognition they deserve for their fund, and for the work they do in promoting ethical investing. The fact that the runners up in the ethical category were also funds in which TAM Ethical invests, is very pleasing and endorses the fund selection made by the TAM investment team.”
Highly Commended were Kames Capital, whose Ethical Equity Fund was launched in April 1989, and Commended were Alliance Trust Investments. Winners are decided via rigorous product monitoring carried out throughout the preceding year, whilst the adviser community is also consulted for their feedback.
Ethical funds continue to grow from strength to strength whilst TAM’s clients continue to benefit from an effective fund selection. The awards recognise those companies that have excelled through delivering outstanding products and service, and provide an invaluable insight for advisers and their clients searching for the very best products.
